Scam Busting In 2017!
Friends and Internet neighbors it is great to have you with me in 2017!
2016 was an amazing year for scams being exposed and being held accountable for their actions. The FTC woke up and held accountable some very prominent companies that were scamming people with pyramid schemes: Herbalife and Vemma.
Some of the other scams that were shutdown on their own or with government help were:
- WeShare CrowdFunding
- Traffic Monsoon
- MMM Global
The HBO show, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver took on “multi-level marketing”. John Oliver told the world that “multi-level marketing,” and any company that goes by that name is a scam in which nearly all will lose their money.
The documentary Betting on Zero is expected to be in theaters this year as well.
Here is how this film is described:
Ted Braun’s documentary presents a high-stakes chess game between the corporation and the individual that moves between the ethically fluid world of high finance to the personal grounds where the battle plays out with startling immediacy. Probing themes of fraud and greed, Betting on Zero is an engrossing deep dive into the moral complexities raised when astronomical sums of money—and no less than the American Dream itself—are on the line.
I can’t wait to see it!
With a new president that has been actively involved in creating and promoting scams like the Trump Network, Trump University, and ACN. It is possible that consumer protection may have a historic setback. It will be even more important for scam busters like myself to do their job this year.
I had the chance to roll out my interview series and I have had the pleasure of talking with some of my subscribers about their experiences with business opportunity scams. I look forward to talking one on one with more of you. I hope to help you get your experiences out there for others to learn from them.
My plan for this year is to provide you with valuable interviews and scam reports. My goal is to look more into the many gurus that are out there trying to take advantage of you.
I am excited about the coming year and I hope that I can connect with you and help you avoid the many new scams that will be created. 2017 is going to be an amazing year. Thank you for being a part of it.
