Herbalife’s Bostick Class Action Settlement Approved
Herbalife gets lucky with the approval of an unfair class action settlement. Even over the objections of attorney Douglas M. Brooks, the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California grants final approval of the $15M class action settlement in the matter of Dana Bostick v. Herbalife International of America (Case # CV 13-02488-BRO).
Herbalife has issued the following statement:
“Herbalife welcomes the decision by the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California to grant final approval of the class action settlement in the matter of Dana Bostick v. Herbalife International of America Inc et al.
As we have consistently stated, we believe that the settlement is fair, reasonable and adequate to class members, and we note the court found that the low number of claimants was not surprising in light of the substantial survey results indicating that most people join Herbalife to become discount consumers of our products.” – Source Herbalife.com
It is humorous how this company uses survey results instead of actual product sales data gathered from their IBOs to represent their customer product sales.
What is surprising to me is how Herbalife is able to ride through legal action after legal action and is not forced to take responsibility for their actions. How many get out of jail for a fee cards does this company have?
