Here is how the scam works:
- You pay $25 to join.
- You optionally pay $10 for a website like the website you joined from.
- You place ads to get people to go to your website.
- People pay you $25 after going to your website.
- You respond to the emails from the people that you victimize with this scam.
This scam is an online version of the old envelope stuffing scheme that was run in the past.
“Here’s what happens: once you send your money, you’re likely to get a letter telling you to get other people, even your friends and relatives, to buy the same envelope-stuffing “opportunity” or another product. The only way you can earn money is if people respond to your solicitations the same way you responded.” – Source FTC
Paypal determined that the Email Processing System was not a legitimate product or service and stopped them from accepting Paypal payments. To get around this, you have to set up an account with a company called PaySpree so you can link your Paypal account with the Email Processing System website. They fail to tell you before you join that Payspree charges $2.00 for every sale, in addition to your normal Paypal fees.
They have a NO REFUND POLICY.
