Solavei Shuts Down
The Solavei business opportunity has shut down because they were not able to reach terms with their current mobile service provider T-Mobile.
Solavei is a network marketing company offering contract-free mobile service in the United States. In addition to its mobile phone services, Solavei operates a social commerce network for its users.
Solavei filed for bankruptcy in 2014, and this past March the company announced a plan to merge with Aspider as it emerged from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.
Here was the hope that the CEO of Solavei had back in 2012:
We are going to make a difference in people’s lives by shifting billions of dollars from traditional mass-media advertising into the greatest advertising vehicle today – people. Solavei is the first company to create an economic linkage between mobile service, social commerce and social-networking technology
Here is how he feels today:
For those of you who are brand partners, that have been with us building a business with Solavei, this is incredibly challenging news. Frankly, the last couple of days have been the hardest, the most difficult of my business career. Because, what it means is we are now forced to stop all payments, commissions, and all future service under the Solavei brand. I never would have thought it.
CEO Ryan Wuerch announces that Solavei shuts down on Dec. 4:
Effective 12/04/15 Solavei Mobile Service will no longer be available. All Solavei members need to transfer their mobile number to a new service provider.
